Winter is beginning and this can mean extra costs as we need to turn on the heating. Many people in Shropshire struggle to keep warm as houses are poorly insulated or have old inefficient boilers, and those in rural areas may struggle with the costs of filling their oil tank.
Shropshire has one of the highest rates of fuel poverty in the country, so if you’re struggling to afford to keep warm you are not alone. We’ve created this round up of all the initiatives which can help.
Can provide free, impartial energy advice and can help with:
· Grants and discounts for bills, insulation and more.
· Benefit entitlement checks to make sure your getting the full income your entitled to.
· Emergency help for households who have no heat.
