Why not try out a community meal?

Across Shropshire people are coming together to share a meal with people from their local community. Meals are either low cost or those who can afford to pay are invited to make a donation.

Ludlow

The Rockspring Community Centre invite anyone from the community to join them for a 2-course Community Lunch on a Thursday lunchtime at 12.15. Diners are asked to pay £2 to cover the costs of the meal. The menu is advertised in advance on their facebook page.

Shrewsbury

In Shrewsbury volunteers welcome anyone from the community to join them for a 2 course meal on the 3rd Saturday of every month at the United Reformed Church. The meal is a collaboration between OsNosh and the Shrewsbury Food Hub using unsold supermarket food. Osnosh explain "We believe that a simple sit down meal where all are welcome and all are treated equally helps foster a deep sense of community. We all love to eat and talk about good meal, whoever you are." Doors open at 12 with lunch being served at 12.30. Diners are invited to make a donation if they can. For dates of future meals, please see Shrewsbury Food Hub or Osnosh.

Oswestry

A weekly community meal is available at Holy Trinity Church in Oswestry on Thursday lunchtimes. Osnosh Community Kitchen's volunteers welcome anyone from the community to join them for a 2 course meal prepared using surplus food. Diners are invited to make a donation if they are able to.
