Cooking on  a Budget

Good, healthy food can still be done on a budget. Here you will find links to recipes and some tips to help you cook well on a budget. 

Brighton and Hove Food Partnership have created two guides. One with recipes for those who have only a microwave or kettle. The second, is a guide for low energy cooking, both can be found here.

The BBC has a range of £1 per portion meals, these are for individuals or families. There are meal plans and budgeting help and tips here.

Jamie Oliver's website also has a wide range of budget meals which are easy to understand and provide nutritional information, here

This means eating a wide variety of foods in the right proportions, and consuming the right amount of food and drink to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.
