NHS Low Income Scheme

The NHS Low Income Scheme will help cover the costs of things like:

NHS prescription charges
NHS dental treatment charges
The cost of sight tests, glasses and contact lenses
The cost of travelling to receive NHS treatment
NHS wigs and fabric support

You can apply online if you do not have capital or savings over £6,000 and are:

a pensioner
earning a wage
receiving state benefits
living in a care home

It's important to know that support services are available for you to access, whatever you’re going through.

Shropshire MHS was established in 1974 and provides a wide range of quality services across the county for the one in four people and their families, who are affected by mental and emotional distress.

Green Oak Foundation

The Green Oak Foundation offer affordable counselling at a donation rate of £30 per session.

Concessionary rates may also be available.
They supporting Shropshire families by working with children and young adults.

Independent Mental Health Advocates (IMHAs) support people with issues relating to their mental health care and treatment. They also help people understand their rights under the Mental Health Act.
